OUR LOGO

The SPUMC logo showcases our  mission statement which proclaims that we are a church which strives to help people “Come to Faith, Grow in Faith, and Go out in Faith.” 

The cross represents that we believe coming to faith in Christ is a life transforming event that we wish for all people. The leaf reminds us that we are continually called to grow in our faith through study, worship, Christian fellowship and service. Lastly the flame represents that we are all called to go out into the world, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to serve and care for others in Christ’s name. Of course, the fact that the logo contains a cross and flame is a link to our grounding in The United Methodist Church.
