BECOMING A MEMBER

Many new visitors like to start off slowly and not become involved right away.  That's fine, we won't try to pressure you in any way.  Others want to learn all they can about our church and what it has to offer.

You can find a lot about our church from our website, but you can learn even more by talking to our pastors and our members.  Here are a few things you might want to start off with:

  • Stop by our Visitors Center and chat with the person(s) there.  They will be able to answer your questions and provide you with a lot of information.

  • Join us for coffee, Tea, donuts and fellowship in our Fellowship Hall on Sunday mornings between services.  Tell us about yourself and what your interests are.

  • Subscribe to our free weekly email newsletter that tells you what's happening in and around the church each week.

  • Click on our Contact Us web page to find who to contact to learn more about the different groups, clubs and committees at SPUMC.

  • Join a choir and share your musical talents.

  • Join a small group discussion or Bible Study.  Small groups make it easy to get to know a few people at a time.  Here are a few links that will tell you about small group discussions:

  • Attend an "ALL" Adults Loving Life luncheon or bus trip.

  • Check the Current Events web page often to see when there might be a game night, a dinner and movie night, a new discussion group or Bible Study starting up.

  • Attend a Connections Gathering.   A Connections Gathering is a time to meet and greet others, explore the mission and ministry of Severna Park United Methodist Church.
